One of the most beautiful cycle paths in Bavaria takes you around Lake Chiemsee; sometimes shady, sometimes sunny, sometimes with fantastic views, sometimes in the dense forest.

In Chiemgau you can find a wide network of extended cycle paths for all requirements. But also quiet paths and tracks through various forest and moor landscapes are waiting to be discovered. Some of the routes, which are directly accessible from Gstadt, are parts of famous routes such as the “Via Julia”, the “Benediktweg”, the “Salinenweg”, the “Achtalweg”, the “Jakobsweg”, the “Bajuwaren”-bicycling circuit or the “Mozart” cycle path.

The Chiemsee Ring Bus Line offers a special service: a bus with a bike trailer which runs around the lake offers the possibility to skip a few stops of the trip, only using the sections that you choose.
