Holidays with children

Chiemgau and our municipality of Gstadt have many attractive offers for the younger guests

Among them are soccerfields and a volleyball court, a floating “iceberg” to climb and a water trampoline. The pirate treasure hunt and the discovery tour of Gstadt as well as visits to the climbing park are very popular with our young guests.

Holiday program

An exciting and varied holiday program with fairy tale walks and lama hikes, the “young reporter”, the “bike rallye” and the “Lake Chiemsee Trophy”, with the “Lord of the Rings” or castle building, with “playmobil” and “dream travel”: these are the holiday adventures we offer to our younger guests during the Bavarian summer holidays. Discoveries

Throughout the year, entertaining and informative discovery tours for all ages are available in Chiemgau. Large picture playing cards, with questions and tasks, inspire our little guests to explore their holiday region in search for answers and bring them in contact with the locals. It goes without saying that prizes are waiting for young and old as a thank-you and the cards can be taken home as souvenirs. These playing cards are available at the Tourist Info.

Pirate’s treasure hunt

From April to November, a treasure hunt takes place sposored by the Chiemsee ferries. The team of the “Chiemsee Pirates” invites all children from 5 to 13 years to take part in the exciting pirate ride on the “Bavarian Sea”. A greate adventure and a treasure hunt awaits you on the treasure island of Captain “Fischunkel”.

Skating and Beach Volleyball Court

New and free for everyone: a skater park in the town center of Gstadt near the municipal depot and our new beach volleyball court at Hofanger, right by the lake.

Soccer Fields

Even football fans are taken care of: two large soccer fields in Gstadt and Gollenshausen are waiting for exciting games.

Hiking with Children

For younger hikers and mountain fans the Chiemgau area provides a wide range of walks and hikes with playing possibilities in magical settings of pastures and mountain inns, with special menus for the small guests.

The Chiemgau region provides you with many possibilities of excursions for families and children. Whether you are looking for a fairytale park, an adventure playground, a recreational pool, a mammoth museum or a nature trail, you can find it all on the recreation map of “Bambini Chiemgau”.
