Swimming, Sailing & Surfing
Sun, sea and fun: we have provided plentiful resources in Gstadt-Gollenshausen for you. Sailing boats of nearly every class: electric boats, paddle boats and traditional rowing boats wait for their "hire captain“. From the Ganszipfel to the Katzfischbucht–two harbours, three public swimming areas and in between, private swimming areas for the boarding houses and boot hire companies, are available for our guests for water sports or for just having fun in the lake. The water is not dangerous even for the smallest "water frogs", as most of the underwater shelf is flat. There are sailing and surfing courses for all ages and abilities at the surfing school in Gstadt as well as the Chiemsee Yachting School in Gollenshausen. For anyone who would like to get away from all that’s happening on the lake, there are also quiet forests, moorland areas and numerous small lakes inland, waiting for their friends of nature.

Two big events, the "Königswalk" on Herreninsel as well as "Skate the Chiemsee“ in autumn, underline the appeal of this type of “trend” sport in our region.
